Reading time: 3 minutes
Microsoft’s current UK list price (Oct 2026) for Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management is £161.50 per user/month, paid yearly and excluding VAT. Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management Premium costs £230.70 per user/month.
| Licence | UK price |
|---|---|
| Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management | £161.50 per user/month |
| Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management Premium | £230.70 per user/month |
Microsoft lists both on a yearly payment basis and excluding VAT.
That gives an annual list-price cost of:
- Supply Chain Management: £1,938 per user/year
- Supply Chain Management Premium: £2,768.40 per user/year
You can check Microsoft’s current pricing on its Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management pricing page.
What is included with Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management?
You do not normally buy a separate user licence for each core SCM module. A Supply Chain Management licence can cover areas including:
- product information;
- procurement and sourcing;
- purchasing;
- sales and order processing;
- inventory management;
- warehouse management;
- transportation;
- production and manufacturing;
- quality management;
- costing;
- Asset Management, subject to relevant entitlements;
- planning capabilities within the applicable licence.
Some features, capacity and connected Microsoft services can have separate licensing rules, so an SCM licence should not be treated as including unlimited use of every related service.
How much more does Supply Chain Management Premium cost?
Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management Premium costs: £230.70 per user/month
compared with: £161.50 per user/month for standard Supply Chain Management.
The difference is: £69.20 per user/month
or: £830.40 per user/year
Premium is aimed at organisations and users needing broader planning, analytics and insight capabilities.
Microsoft’s current comparison also shows broader Demand Planning capability with Premium and includes 1,000 Copilot Credits per Premium user/month, subject to Microsoft’s current licensing terms.
Not every SCM user will necessarily need Premium. The right question is:
Which users need the additional Premium capabilities?
What would Dynamics 365 SCM cost for 20 or 50 users?
Using Microsoft’s current UK list prices:
| Users | Standard SCM | SCM Premium |
|---|---|---|
| 20 users | £38,760/year | £55,368/year |
| 50 users | £96,900/year | £138,420/year |
| 100 users | £193,800/year | £276,840/year |
These figures exclude VAT and assume every person needs the same full named-user licence.
In a real supply-chain environment, that may not be the case.
Does every SCM user need a £161.50 licence?
Not necessarily.
This is particularly important in warehouses, manufacturing and other operational environments where many people may interact with Dynamics in different ways. Microsoft has other licence types for specific use cases, including:
- Team Members for defined light-use activities;
- Operations – Activity for certain operational tasks;
- Operations – Device for qualifying shared-device scenarios;
- Attach licences where a user already has another qualifying Dynamics 365 Base application.
These are not simply cheaper versions of a full SCM licence.
Each has defined usage rights. For example, someone completing limited warehouse activities on a shared device may have very different licensing needs from a supply-chain planner or procurement manager.
What if a user needs both Finance and Supply Chain Management?
Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain Management are separate applications.
If the same person genuinely needs both, Microsoft’s Base and Attach licensing may be relevant.
Rather than buying two full Base licences, an eligible user may be able to have one qualifying application as their Base licence and the second as an Attach licence.
The exact eligibility and price should be checked against Microsoft’s current licensing rules.
This is one reason why simply multiplying every ERP user by £161.50 can give the wrong answer.
What else can affect Dynamics 365 SCM licensing cost?
The headline licence price is only the starting point. The actual requirement may also depend on:
- Standard versus Premium users;
- Base and Attach licensing;
- Operations – Activity users;
- shared warehouse or production devices;
- security roles and privileges;
- Asset Management capacity;
- storage and other capacity;
- Copilot and agent usage;
- connected Dynamics 365 applications.
For supply-chain environments in particular, the mix of office users, planners, warehouse teams, production staff and shared devices can have a major effect on the final licence requirement.
Licence cost is not the full cost of Dynamics 365 SCM
Microsoft licensing is only one part of the overall cost of running Supply Chain Management. An implementation may also involve:
- business-process design;
- implementation and configuration;
- data migration;
- integration;
- warehouse and production setup;
- testing;
- training;
- support and Managed Services;
- ongoing Microsoft updates and change.

The key figures
For a quick answer:
Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management: £161.50 per user/month
Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management Premium: £230.70 per user/month
Both are current Microsoft UK prices, paid yearly and excluding VAT.
The more important question is then:
Which users actually need a full SCM licence, and which licence type fits the work they perform?
That is where the final cost can change significantly.
